I am an Oxford grad student who theoretically studies physics (note that this is entirely different from studying theoretical physics – which, it seems leads to sitting in a chair for a vast amount of the time and slowly getting fatter).
I enjoy my work but am easily distracted by practically everything, this has led to me having a knowledge of a fairly large number of subjects, but all in a thoroughly passing fashion. Perhaps I may eventually elevate my knowledge of some subjects past the level of dilettante; currently, this is not the case, and I sometimes wonder if I’m a dilettante even in the area of physics.
Don’t tell anyone.
